Meet the Photographer

Jay Remmers Photography is built on three of my passions within photography; Landscapes, Portraits, Cityscapes. My approach when shooting is to capture the amazing beauty around me, to communicate and highlight the dynamic scenery that sings to me, and to share that moment with you. I love the peace and serenity with landscapes, the hustle and bustle of edgy cityscapes, and the intimate connection of portraiture. My main goals when shooting with people is to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere that allows us to create moments that reflect your beauty and love, and make images that you can look back on with pride and joy.

Growing up in small town, USA in the northern great plains, most of my scenery was corn fields, single story buildings, and snow drifts. Once a summer my family would road trip 4-6 hours to either the Black Hills for a camping weekend or Minneapolis for a baseball game, I was obsessed with the dynamic sights. Fast-forward to adulthood, traveling around the country all I wanted to do was to take in the landscapes, cityscapes, and the people I came across. After years of being a world-class phone point and shooter I wanted the challenge to create and capture with professional equipment and thus Jay Remmers Photography was born.
